Brooke Shearon
MPP Student
Brooke Shearon, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, is a Master of Public Policy student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is pursuing a field area in Health Policy, Bioethics, and Human Rights on the Program Evaluation track. Brooke received her Bachelor’s degrees in Public Policy and Economics with a minor in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Brooke is interested in the social determinants of health, correlates of discrimination and healthcare access, economic development policy, and health economics.
Grace Koch
MPP Student
Grace Koch graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in May of 2022. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in both public policy and economics. She will continue her studies at UNC-CH in a dual-degree Master of Public Policy program, concentrating on education and labor market policy. This summer, Grace is thrilled to be researching Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) with the Whole Community Health Initiative. She hopes that her focus on Eastern Native CDFIs will contribute to the greater mission of building sustainable solutions for stability and resilience in North Carolina communities.
Robert Jones
MPP Student
Robert Jones is a Master of Public Policy student at the University of Chapel Hill, focusing on social and economic policy. His interest in social and economic policy stems from growing up in rural North Carolina and seeing the linkage between economic factors and social outcomes for citizens. Robert aspires to work with firms, governments, and foundations to secure economic stability for all. When he is not studying public policy and social issues, he enjoys spending time with friends and attending concerts.
